With such an eye-catching name, it’s no surprise that Baby’s on Fire, a newly opened cafe in Fell’s Point, is getting lots of attention. But the concept behind it is what really draws people in. One of two locations (the other being in Mt. Vernon), Baby’s on Fire brings together coffee and records in a truly unique spot. Here, the traditional cafe experience is met with the wonderfully vintage pastime of browsing used records. At the Fell’s Point location, Baby’s on Fire is even connected to Sound Garden, Baltimore’s largest independent record shop.
Taking its name from a Brian Eno song, Baby’s on Fire serves the ever-popular Stumptown Coffee, as well other drinks ranging from alcohol and kombucha to soda and juice. With happy hour from 4 pm to 7 pm each day, they also offer breakfast and lunch menus with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
For an experience beyond the average day-to-day visit, be sure to check out one of the events hosted at the cafe. From comedy shows to musical performances, there’s no doubt you’ll match your perfect drink to some great entertainment.
