St. John Properties, Somerset Construction and Elm Street Development held a groundbreaking ceremony for the development of Greenleigh at Crossroads, the next phase of the 1,000-acre Baltimore Crossroads business campus in White Marsh, MD.
The $750 million project will consist of 1,000 single-family homes and townhomes, 500 multifamily units, three mid-rise office buildings totaling roughly 300,000 square feet, 128,000 square feet of single-story office space, 116,000 square feet of retail amenities and a 120-room SpringHill Suites by Marriott.
St. John Properties will begin construction immediately on the three-story office building with construction on the SpringHill Suites hotel slated to commence within the next six months. Elm Street Development will get started on the single-family residences and townhomes, while Somerset Construction will break ground on the 317-unit The Berkleigh apartment complex this fall.
“Greenleigh at Crossroads is a legacy development that will become a significant employment generator for Baltimore County, while offering an engaging pedestrian-friendly environment with destination amenities that will attract diverse audiences to its core,” said Edward St. John, Chairman of St. John Properties.
Baltimore Crossroads is located on MD Route 43 near I-95 in greater Baltimore. The campus can accommodate more than 2.5 million square feet of commercial, residential and hotel space and is home to more than 2,500 employees.
