Mustang Alley’s is not your average bowling alley. Where you’d expect to find harsh lighting and hard plastic seats, you’ll instead see sleek alley-side booths and softly lit overhead fixtures that are really modern pieces of sculpture. The unique look provides a clue that there’s something different about Mustang Alley’s—actually, a lot of things.
For one, there are only 12 lanes instead of the usual 20 or 30. That keeps things a little less chaotic and more intimate. For another, the bowling alley enlists the help of a gourmet chef in developing and delivering a bistro-inspired menu. Finally, the bar serves up much more than pitchers of beer. It’s fully stocked to craft artisan cocktails while you bowl. Reserve a lane and order a few rounds of apps like the fried calamari with marinara and the soft pretzel sticks topped with crab dip. Enjoy them with a pint of Baltimore’s own Monument City beer or a cocktail like the Boozy Blueberry Lemonade. Then enjoy a hand-tossed pizza (with either traditional or cauliflower crust), a customized burger, or a wrap or tacos.
